Haesung DS (195870), a semiconductor component manufacturer and an affiliate of the Haesung Group (CEO Youngsik Choi), announced on the 27th that it has received the Minister of Climate and Energy Environment Award at the “2025 Green Management and Green Finance Excellence Awards,” hosted by the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute.

The “Green Management and Green Finance Excellence Awards” is an annual event that recognizes companies and individuals demonstrating outstanding performance in areas such as green bond issuance, environmental information disclosure, and ESG management, with the aim of strengthening corporate responsibility and roles in sustainable management. Haesung DS was honored in the environmental information disclosure category, gaining recognition for its sustainability efforts.

Under its vision, “A Sustainable Partner for the Environment, People, and the Future,” Haesung DS has been actively promoting various ESG initiatives to create sustainable value across environmental and social domains. Since 2024, the company has published annual sustainability reports to transparently share its activities with stakeholders.

In addition, Haesung DS has been making continuous efforts to secure renewable energy through solar power. The company also reuses approximately 1.3 million tons of water annually through specific treatment processes in its production operations. Furthermore, it has been recognized for its waste recycling efforts, earning the highest Platinum rating in the “Zero Waste to Landfill” certification from global safety certification organization UL (Underwriters Laboratories) for two consecutive years.
