Haesung DS monitors the discharge and treatment processes of waste generated from all management activities by type and contributes to resource recovery through recycling. Haesung DS resourcefully recycles electronic scrap and waste liquids generated during the manufacturing process, minimizing waste that is landfilled or incinerated, thereby achieving zero waste-to-landfill certification. Additionally, Haesung DS continues to invest in reducing the use of packaging materials and expanding recycling efforts, reducing plastic waste, and recovering copper pipes from spent acids to enhance resource circulation.
As a result of continuous efforts to promote waste recycling, Haesung DS achieved a 99% waste recycling rate in 2023 and obtained zero waste to landfill certification from the international certification organization UL in 2024.
Haesung DS has set a mid-to-long-term goal of recycling 100% of its waste by 2030 and is committed to utilizing resources in a sustainable manner.
