Haesung DS (KRX: 195870), led by CEO Young-Sik Choi, announced on February 28 that it has been recognized as a “Community Contribution Certified Company” at the 2025 Community Contribution Recognition Day, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Council on Social Welfare.

The Community Contribution Recognition Program honors companies that actively engage in partnerships with nonprofit organizations and carry out various initiatives aimed at promoting local community development. Since the program’s inception in 2019, Haesung DS has been recognized every year, achieving seven consecutive years of certification.

Haesung DS has carried out a wide range of social contribution activities, including scholarship support for underprivileged children, medical expense assistance for patients with rare diseases and pediatric cancer, and programs for high-risk youth. The company has also participated in broader public initiatives such as improving workplaces for people with disabilities, companionship programs for seniors living alone, river clean-up efforts, and ecosystem conservation activities.

A company official stated, “It is especially meaningful for us to have received this recognition continuously for seven years since the program was first introduced. Moving forward, we will continue to lead sustainable and inclusive growth with local communities based on our ESG management philosophy.”
